Childhood stunting is one of the most significant impediments to human development, globally affecting approximately 162 million children under the age of 5 years. If current trends continue, projections indicate that 127 million children under 5 years will be still stunted in 2025. Chronic malnutrition rates have not declined significantly over the years despite increased income from high value crops. Therefore, new approach to resolution of problem is required, further investment and action are necessary to attain the 2025 World Health Assembly target of reducing that number to 100 million. What can be the role of agriculture industry’s stake holders in advancing the achievement of these goals on a global level? How can modern agriculture and industry processes be transformed in order food can be provided for those who suffer from malnutrition? What are the responsibilities of agriculture business leaders in these issues?
